Cultivating Attention and Connection Through Wine
Could wine be a way to win back our attention? A way back to each other? To what we honor and celebrate as sacred? Join us on a journey of discovery…
This isn’t your traditional wine tasting class.
We call for a revolution in wine education! Wine is a doorway, an ancient elixir. Wine is for all people.
Together, we enter a sensuous world and contemplate questions that beguile philosophers. Together we taste in a spirit of playful exploration.
We respect wine - we don’t “master” it. We give wine our attention, and are rewarded with bliss.

“An intoxicating drink, which both slides down easily and warms as it goes, is a symbol
of–and also a means to achieve–an inward transformation...”
Reclaiming our Attention
Our attention is being commodified - bought and sold - by technological and commercial systems that are expanding at an alarming rate. We are the victims of a new attention economy. Unless we push back, we stand to lose it all, everything that makes life meaningful, everything that brings us joy.
An Intellectual and Spiritual Journey
More than just a tasting session, this is an opportunity for inquiry and reflection. We invite you to consider how ancient ideas about art, beauty and sensory pleasure can still resonate in our modern lives.
New Ways of Tasting
We focus on creative and sensory exercises that will help you to discover - or rediscover - the world of wine. Whether exploring soundscapes, tasting blind, or experimenting with aromas and textures, our workshops encourage you to expand your perception and embrace an approach to tasting that is focused, intuitive and creative.
Building Community Through Shared Experience
Wine has always been a symbol of connection, a way to bring people together. The space we create in our workshops allows for genuine discussion and the kind of meaningful engagement that has become too rare.
A Touch of the Sacred
There is something spiritual about wine’s ability to connect us to each other and to something larger than ourselves. We beleive in the sacredness of each moment—the sense of awe and transcendence that wine can help unlock.
“Engaged in all the viscera and substance of living, striving or dreaming, passionate or calm, there is no place from which wine must be excluded. It lives in the thrill and the reverie both.”
Terry Theise, In Praise of the Sublime
